週五晚上和五位女朋友, 左起: Ariel, Joanna, Amanda, Vanessa (Jennifer和我沒入鏡) 去Campbell的 Heritage Theatre欣賞浪漫王子 Jim Brickman 的鋼琴演奏.  全場一個半小時, 中場休息十五分鐘, 前半場以他的獨奏為主, 後半場有Anne Cochran搭配演唱, 而且接受來賓問問題及點歌.

我對Heritage Theatre有特殊情感, 因為這是我宣示歸化的地方.  她不大也不豪華, 但是讓人感到像家一樣的舒適安心, 一方面我的公司在Campbell, 我家離Campbell也不遠, 每週日早上都會去Campbell的農夫市場採買, 所以我在Campbell晃的時間實在很多, 而今晚可以帶著一票好友來這裡分享一個美麗夜晚, 又讓這個地方多添一個回憶.

我是從廣播電台開始聽 Jim Brickman的音樂, 進而買他的CD, 湊巧在上周得知他這週五在Campbell的演出, 於是臨時興起找朋友一起去聽音樂會的念頭.  幸運的是, 在這麼短的時間下通知, 朋友們都還賞臉抽空出席, 讓我很感動.

Img_0361如果沒有參加這場演奏會, 我不會知道 Jim Brickman實際上還是個很幽默風趣的人, 他認真彈琴時會有一些習慣動作, 例如左腳會搖晃擺動, 頭會轉動, 每次開始及結束一首曲子, 他的左手就會往後畫半圈, 而他就拿這些來開自己的玩笑.  更好笑的是, 到了下半場讓來賓問問題及點歌的時候, 有一位來賓寫著: 如果你繼續做左手往後畫半圈的動作的話, 你很快就會需要來看我 – I am a Chiropractor.  話才說完, 全場哄堂大笑!

整個演奏很緊湊, 中間穿插他對演奏歌曲的解說, 客串歌手的演唱, 也有部份男女對唱, 以及最後讓來賓的問與答, Jim Brickman的美麗音樂讓我很陶醉.  更棒的是, 有一票好友一起分享, 當他最後彈的這首曲Simple Things, 由Anne Cochran爽朗的歌聲唱出歌詞的時候, 著實的讓我感動落淚. 雖然這首歌本意是首情歌, 但是實際上那歌詞可以用在每一個人的身上, 而那一刻, 我由衷覺得, Life is Good!  簡單生活就會快樂!  我有幸有一群好友相伴, 互相支持鼓勵, My life is really good!
