Feel stressed, anxious or even depressed? Having trouble sleeping? Can’t relax or stay calm?

Try Sound Baths!!! Some people unwind with a long bubble bath or a glass of wine. Others prefer a sound bath session. A sound bath experience is a great alternative way for anyone who has not yet learned how to meditate on their own. Music has been used for its therapeutic effects for thousands of years.

The sound frequency and the vibrations stimulate the brain and the Vagus nerve system so when your body and mind are relaxed, the brain will release happy chemicals (Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, and Endorphins), and higher Vagal tone makes your body better at regulating blood glucose levels, reducing the likelihood of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.  The immune system is at its best when we are relaxed.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT aka Tapping)

今天在臉書上看到The Tapping Solution Foundation貼的一個有關讓學生學習Tapping的好處, 可以幫助他們放鬆, 集中注意力, 減少霸凌.

Gary Craig 從史丹佛電機工程畢業, 以助人開發潛能為職, 他透過一位針灸師了解到平衡身體能量對人的心理狀態有很重要的正面作用後, 1996年開發出Emotional Freedom Techniques 情緒釋放治療 ( EFT ) 這套以輕拍臉部上及身體某些特定穴位, 同時以有系統的特定語句來釋放各種的負面情緒, 是一個比較容易掌握、很有效、又能自主的釋放情緒的心靈治療工具。

我的諮詢師也曾經教我做Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT aka Tapping), 要我下次情緒又開始起伏震盪的時候做.

第一: 拿紙筆, 先將當下身體的感受寫下來, 然後用一到十的嚴重性, 寫下當時的數字.

第二: 然後將下面這段affirmation的句子寫好:

“Even though  [____________________________], I love and accept myself.”


“Even though I feel this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m anxious about my interview, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m feeling this anxiety about my financial situation, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I panic when I think about ______, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m worried about how to approach my boss, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m having trouble breathing, I deeply and completely accept myself.”


然後用四指敲打手掌側邊, 一邊敲打一邊說那段話, 重複三次.  It’s a set of affirmation, 括弧 [   ] 內的字是根據當時的問題所改變.


第三: 接著用三指拍打頭頂的穴位, 手指點拍眉頭, 眼尾, 眼袋中心, 人中, 下顎, 鎖骨和腋下, 每拍一處就講一個負面情緒或感受, 連續做二到三次.

第四: 再感覺一下做完後的感受, 用一到十的嚴重性, 寫下做完後的數字.  看看有沒有減緩, 如果沒有, 可以繼續做到感受降低為止.

[頌缽音療] Vibrational Sound Association

我對藏缽一直很有興趣, 每次旅遊在不同的地方看到總會拿起來玩玩, 我很喜歡那個聲音, 但因為懂得不多, 所以沒有買回家.  今年不知為何, 對聲音療法(Sound Therapy)很有興趣, 有一天臉書突然跳出一個Vibration Sound Therapy的廣告, 點進去看後才發現真的有這樣的課程, 沒多想就報了九月底在賭城的六天課程.
Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) combines powerful vibration and tones to induce an immediate relaxed state. The induction of the sound waves directly into the body, along with soothing ambient tones, is such a strong treatment that clients report effects ranging from a meditative state to deep relaxation. By placing the “therapeutic” singing bowls directly on the body, and using correct techniques, a practitioner engages with their client both physically, and aurally.  Also known as vibrational sound massage.

In the VST method, the client remains fully clothed and is never touched directly by the practitioner. This does not diminish the connection between client, and practitioner because spiritual intimacy is maintained through the sound and the vibration transmitted through the bowl.

Therapeutic singing bowls are bowls designed specifically for Vibrational Sound Therapy (Sound Massage), and differ in many aspects from traditional Tibetan bowls. The idea behind crafting a refined instrument for both pure tone, and strong vibration came after working with thousands of traditional bowls, some designed as utensils for eating, storage and many other purposes. These sometimes very primitive singing bowls of antiquity are truly unique from bowl to bowl.

The notable differences in tone between a Therapeutic singing bowl crafted for vibrational sound, and a modern Himalayan singing bowl are the subdued volume, and the purity of tone. Therapeutic bowls will have a cleaner sound due to the finishing process while still having a rich multitude of overtones. The smoothing out of the bowl’s surface removes some of the natural variances that define these overtones allowing the dominant tone of the bowl to really stand out. A more precise instrument was needed for a more effective treatment. Creating a bowl for a standardized system required both knowledge of traditional bowls as well as modern science, and engineering.

The Vibrational Sound Association (VSA) focuses on the education of using unique instruments such as singing bowls through teaching, workshops, training, and courses with sound therapy.  The VSA is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization.  The VSA is dedicated to the continued evolution of the Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) modality or “vibrational sound massage”.  This class is approved for CEU’s for massage therapists from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB).  Our 6 day certification class qualifies for 42 hours of credit. The Vibrational Sound Therapy relies on specifically engineered Therapeutic Singing Bowls that provide stress relief through extreme relaxation provided during the session.

六天的課程先讓創辦人Jeff來分享他的創始由來和初衷, 接著大家自我介紹 (很幸運這次是小班制, 只有六位學生, 但大家都在自然療法或靈修上都有不同程度的接觸), 然後讓我們玩一遍Jeff收藏的各種藏缽 (年代, 材質, 尺寸).

他說以前藏缽是當地人拿來裝菜吃飯的碗, 並不適合用來做聲波治療, 所以他特別請人在尼泊爾手工製作適合用在聲波治療的頌缽 (因為上週Jeff剛好在賭城參加Conference, 所以他帶了二百個頌缽來).

午餐過後講師Lisa做示範, Jeff做模特, 今天先學背部, 然後我們就二人一組, 實地練習如何使用四個不同大小和音頻的頌缽來幫助身體和頭腦放鬆, 五十分鐘真的讓人像似熟睡了那般舒服啊!!! 這大概是少數課程是上課時間可以睡覺的吧!!! LOL

第二天Lisa介紹不同重量但同音頻的頌缽, 讓我們可以替代用在比較瘦小或小孩或老人身上, 或者用在比較胖的人身上, 還有尺寸更大的Grounding Bowl, 可以站在裡面, 更大的甚至可以坐在裡面 (這次Jeff沒帶, 但網站上有照片).

第三天學正面, 一種是把頌缽放在床邊, 而不直接放在身體上, 主要對象是懷孕婦女或者換過膝蓋等人; 另一種則是向背部那樣, 直接放在身上.  有些人無法趴著五十分鐘, 那就可以選時間短一點的或者做正面.

我們每天都換Partner, 練習不同身型的感覺. 第四天學Grounding and energizing, 和正反面時間較短的做法.

第五天學習其他Specific area, 例如上圖是特別想要Clear the head, feel refreshed. 還有介紹水晶缽和其他聲音治療用的樂器.

第六天除了再練習一次正反面時間較短的做法, 就專門討論有關Business的部分, 例如美國各地的收費, 如何推廣聲音療法, 哪些人會有興趣, 器材部分 (按摩床, 枕頭, 床單等等), 還有Liability Insurance (Insurance Plus, ).

每天早上大家都會分享對於前一天所學的心得, 還有當晚身心上發生的微小轉變, 我除了前二晚的晚上有起來上廁所, 後面幾天都是一覺到天亮, 而且六點左右就會醒, 上完整天的課也不覺得累, 比對我向來都要睡八小時, 睡醒還不一定覺得精神好的紀錄來說, 這一週的睡眠改變是很有意思的.
頌缽治療屬於聲音治療(Sound Therapy)的一種,主要是以特定的手法敲擊頌缽,使之發出和諧共鳴的聲音並穿透身體的組織細胞,從而輕鬆處理生理和心理的問題。聲音產生振動頻率(Vibrational Frequency)是一種物理現象,據科學家研究證實,聲音的振頻能改變分子結構,原理是當適度的聲頻接近人體,便會引起人體組織細胞產生和諧共振,使腦電波、心率、呼吸節奏等頻率與之平衡,有助紓緩失眠、壓力、緊張、焦慮、憂鬱、精神不集中等問題。透過用頌缽作為聲療工具,針對痛症及亞健康狀況進行調頻,能改變人體失衡部位的振動頻率,使心率快慢、呼吸節奏、脈搏起伏、腸胃蠕動、肌肉收縮舒張等組織系統回到良好平衡的狀態。





在灣區, 有少數幾個地方有Sound Bath or Sound Meditation Workshops, 多屬於不定期舉辦, 所以需要特別搜尋和留意, 我去過的有 Belmont’s Prajna Center, Half Moon Bay’s Mojo Yoga, San Jose’s Sacred Sound, 另外還有East Bay’s Inner Sounds Yoga, 但我沒參加過.

不過我沒看到有人是做頌缽療法的, 所以我可能是灣區極少數受過頌缽治療的人, 加上搭配氣功和芳香療法, 希望能幫助更多每天過著壓力很大, 睡眠品質不好的人, 能好好的讓身體和頭腦放鬆, 即使只有25分鐘, 還是能得到有點像Power Nap的功效.

我當初報名VSA的課程時並沒有San Jose的地點, 所以我選擇去賭城上, 現在發現它11月12-17日會在San Jose開課, 而且是在有室內泳池的飯店內, 所以會有一天是在泳池內用頌缽, 這個機會不多, 所以我有跟講師Lisa說我可能會跑去插一腳, 而各位有興趣的人不要錯過喔.

班上同學的背景不太一樣, 有二位是按摩師, 一位律師, 一位會計師, 一位瑜伽老師, 一位靈氣師.  課程雖然結束了, 但我們還要完成十個案子, 送出整個報告後, 才算正式結業.

Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra 是我最喜歡的二種瑜伽, 他們的共同特點是, 姿勢不多且簡單 (不用倒立, 折腿, 或手撐身體騰空之類的), 步調緩慢, 非常放鬆, 讓你的身心得到深層的休息, 從小孩到老人都可以做的瑜伽, 經常失眠, 壓力很大, 心靜不下來的人, 都可以從中得到幫助, 而且在家就可以做, 因為它需要的工具不多. 每次去上課, 都覺得那個環境好舒服, 讓我處在半夢半醒之間, 讓人不知不覺就入睡!
